A recent road trip with my dear mom up to Paso Robles. She would share fond memories of her childhood growing up on a ranch as we drove along these rickety roads. A sweet time.
I revisited this scene from a previous work. This tree stands tall in this open field, somewhat different and set apart from the others… there's something quite beautiful about it's stature.
This was a fun study of the San Clemente pier. I don't usually paint foggy days, but there's a mysterious feel to them as objects disappear into it… and I love the muted tones the fog brings.
